Maui Webcam – Humpback Whale Sanctuary
Hawaii Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary
Live 4K Maui Webcam from the Hawaiian Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary. The reserve, which stretches to the obscure islands of Molokai and Lanai in the distance, is a feeding and mating ground for humpback whale populations in the North Pacific Ocean. Tails snapping, flipping and flapping can be seen in abundance here from December to April.
The Maui Webcam rotates from North (Mokuho’Oniki and Kahana Island, Maui), West (Molokai) to South (Lanai).Right in front of you is the Kahekili Marine Reserve, one of three on Maui and a popular place to see kelp-eating green sea turtles. Occasional sightings of century-old dolphins or rare sightings of endangered Hawaiian fur seals. Morning rainbows are common and evening sunsets are stunning.
To ensure the privacy of guests staying at Maui Sands B, the webcam audio is not live, but is pre-recorded from that specific location. This is the exact view that guests of Maui Sands Unit B have from the ground floor balcony. Unit B is a carbon neutral, eco-friendly, independent apartment. One of West Maui’s first residential complexes, Maui Sands retains much of its Hawaiian feel from before the hotel boom of the 1960s.
If you want to experience this landscape for yourself, visit https://www.mauisands.com for more information .Scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Hawaii Marine Sanctuary are asking for your help spotting humpback whales. Specifically, they want our viewers to report any humpback whale anomalies, such as ship collisions, entanglements, etc. If you see a humpback and, more importantly, a whale in distress, please note the date and time (the time is in the lower left corner of the video) and email details to whalesighting@ mauisands.com. We will immediately forward your report to the NOAA Maui Coordinator.
